At studio subtl, we’re on a quest to set a new standard for sustainability and social responsibility within the fashion industry - valuing transparency, craftsmanship, people, and planet.
This means obsessively striving to be as sustainable as we can be: sourcing only the most sustainably produced fabrics, exclusively relying on natural dyeing techniques during production, manufacturing right here in Europe for more local distribution, and much more to reduce our environmental impact and help those who need it most.
We choose to focus on transparency, craftmanship, people and our planet.
Leading by example is what we’re about: showing the fashion industry that there are great alternatives to mass-production of polyester and polluted cotton, or endless hours and dire working conditions. But obviously, that’s easier said than done. So we need your support!

CLIMATE POSITIVE+
We are the first climate positive+ menswear brand. Because why stop at climate-neutral?
We systematically count our emissions each step of the way, and make up for them by compensating 150% of all emitted CO2. That way, we ensure that we have a net positive effect on our planet.
Instead of planting trees to counteract our own emissions, we’re supporting projects that actually lower the entire world’s emissions – together with you, the customer! Projects are carefully selected on their environmental impact and social responsibility, creating win-win situations by helping those in need and supporting projects that lower their emissions. As our valued customer, you will have regular opportunities to vote for your favorite project from a careful selection.
GOTS CERTIFIED
.All our products are GOTS certified, something we’re extremely proud of. It's by no means easy, but to us there's no other way.
GOTS (The Global Organic Textile Standard) is the highest certification for organic cotton, so all our customers can be sure their organic cotton fabrics are sourced in the most ethical and sustainable ways: no chemicals, pesticides, forced labour, or child labour. The entire supply chain is checked by independent certifiers, who only award certificates if each step meets the highest standards for sustainability. The certification process is transparent, and certificate holders are can be found in their public database.

PLASTIC FREE
We don't use it. Period!
So, no microplastics in our clothing or (recycled) plastic seal bags for packaging. Not even plastic tape. We found great alternatives that don’t harm our planet for decades. Why not use them!?
PACKAGING
For packaging, only biodegradable materials and FSC-certified & recycled materials are used. Your orders are send in one of two carefully selected shipping boxes, optimized to send all the good stuff as flat as possible. We ship sustainable clothes not air.

IMPROVEMENTS
Although we already are climate positive+ we continuously strive to lower our emissions and those of our partners even further. So we will never rest and keep challenging ourselves and our partners to do the same.
